Lathe Machine Operator job role is to set up and operate manual or CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision metal components according to engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety standards throughout the production process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual or CNC lathe machines to perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, and boring operations. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
• Production Quality: Ensure all finished parts meet required tolerances and quality standards. Use measuring instruments (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect components.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of machines. Report any mechanical faults or irregularities to the supervisor.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all company safety rules, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures. Keep the work area clean and free of hazards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain production logs and record completed tasks accurately. Report material consumption and any deviations from job specifications.
• Teamwork: Coordinate with supervisors, quality inspectors, and other operators to ensure smooth workflow. Support other production activities as required.
